Design Patterns in Dynamic Programming
Peter Norvig (of Google fame) has a page Design Patterns in Dynamic Programming which is exactly the kind of reference I've been after, in terms of discussing common object-oriented patterns in a functional context. It also features a number of other FP patterns:
As an aside, Norvig's book (Paradigms of AI Programming) is next on my list to port a few interesting examples across from. Eliza is first on my hit list!
I'm still yet to see something akin to GoF for functional programming. Perhaps this is because it doesn't exist and functional programming "in-the-large" is exactly the same as in the small?
- Coroutines
- Control Abstraction
- Memoization
- Rule-based Translator
